I've received several emails from my readers asking what has happened to me. I'm still here! I've taken the summer off to work on a few other things and spend time with my grandbabies.
One of the things I've been working on is an event taking place in North Houston. Participants of Houston Run for the Fallen will run or walk 1 mile (or more) for a fallen service member in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
This is a national event that will take place all over the United States on August 22 and 23. We are excited to be bringing the event to Houston on Saturday, August 22.
I would like to personally invite you to join us. Together we can collectively honor and remember our fallen heroes. Although it is a free event, pre-registration is required. For more information, check out our website: www.HoustonRunForTheFallen.net.
When: Saturday, August 22, 2009 @ 8:00 am
Where: The Woodlands-College Park High School track
Why: To honor our fallen
I hope to see you there. I'd love to meet you and personally thank you for spending your Saturday morning with us!
I'll be back to my column in a few weeks. Thank you for reading and commenting on my articles. I wish you all a great summer and wonderful relationships!
