Houston northwest craft shows and fall festivals

Bear Creek UMC and others offer fun for the community.

The fall brings cooler weather and if you're in Houston, Texas, a variety of craft shows and fall festivals!  The following United Methodist Churches in Northwest Houston offer arts, crafts and fun for the whole family!

Here are some Houston northwest notables;

Bear Creek United Methodist Church Craft Bazaar & Fall Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2009.  Bear Creek UMC is located at 16000 Rippling Water Drive, Houston, Texas 77084.  This is Bear Creek's 21st year of the United Methodist Women hosting their craft show which benefits women's and children's missions.  A preview sale is being offered for the first time on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 5pm-8:30pm with a chili supper ($6 adults and $4 for children).  Almost 100 indoor and outdoor booths of hand crafted and high quality items plus holiday, home decor and and gifts galore will be offered!  Bear Creek UMC also offer a FREE Fall Festival with Carnival Games, Prizes and a Cupcake Walk.  The Chick-Fil-A Cow, inflatables, obstacle course and live entertainment will be part of the festivities too!  The Missions Committee hosts the Pumpkin Patch - a definite fall photo opportunity with pumpkins, gourds and indian corn for sale!  All of these events will run simultaneously from 9am to 4pm.  There will be plenty of food, drinks and snacks offered in Jacob's Grille and the Sweet Shoppe will tempt you with their delicious cakes, pies, pumpkin rolls, lemon bars, spicy pickles and hot sauce!  Remember to drop off your registration form for a FREE door prize drawing at the Silent Auction area. Lakewood United Methodist Holiday Market and Fall Festival is on Saturday, October 24, 2009.  Lakewood UMC is located at 11330 Louetta Road, Houston, Texas 77070.  The Holiday Market features indoor/outdoor booths, plus snacks for breakfast and lunch.  The Pumpkin Patch has pumpkins and more for sale.  Funds raised in the patch will benefit the youth of Lakewood UMC.  Click on http://www.lakewoodumc.org/ for more details.

Memorial Drive United Methodist Church has their "The Hearts and Hands Holiday Market," held each October.  Memorial Drive UMC is at 12779 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77079.  Over 80 vendors with delightful merchandise are carefully selected for this fair.  All of the profits from this three-day event benefit United Methodist Women's mission efforts.  Do not miss the box lunches and silent auction.
