August 14, 2013

Food truck fans, you are in luck. In recent years, Houston has been building a great food truck scene, gaining national attention from aficionados of these rolling eateries. But the city has lacked a steady place to find good food trucks. Now we have the Houston Food Park, which opened for business in mid-summer 2013.

The park allows trucks to rent space in its EaDo lot at the corner of St. Emanuel and Bell streets. There are tables and chairs and a bit of shade for those hot summer days. There’s also plenty of parking in the lot or on the street.

The park’s hours vary depending on the trucks that come in, but its open weekends for lunch and dinner and typically open for lunch on weekdays. Follow Houston Food Park on Facebook and Twitter for a rundown of which trucks are on hand that day. Then come out and support Houston’s first mobile food park.
