Houston Film Critics Declare 'Argo' the Best Film of 2012

The Houston Film Critics Society has also weighed in with their awards today, naming Ben Affleck's "Argo" the Best Film of 2012. The film also received Best Director for Affleck.

It's interesting to note that, while "Argo" took the top prize, Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" ended up winning more awards, taking Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis), Best Supporting Actor (Tommy Lee Jones), and Best Screenplay (Tony Kushner).

Not much else out of the ordinary here, but I will add that it's great to see the excellent "Holy Motors" take a Best Foreign Language Film win. It's a shame that it's not getting much attention elsewhere.
