Houston Dr. Sketchy celebrates second birthday this Sunday

This month marks the two-year anniversary of Houston Dr. Sketchy, and the artistic crew is planning a birthday bash this Sunday.

This month’s life-drawing session features “tattooed pixie princess” Jennifer Allbritton as well as food from Houston barbecue superstar Beaver’s.

"As the Houston Dr. Sketchy artists, models and voyeurs head into our second glorious year of kitschy, booze-filled art adventures, we challenge all sketchers, sketcher wannabes and people with strong livers to make 2010 'The Year of the Sketchy,'" says Houston Sketchy organizer Katie Laird.

The festivities run from 2 to 6 p.m. at AvantGarden, 411 Westheimer. Admission is $10, plus tips for the model. For more information, visit
