Lexi is a beautiful and intelligent Dachshund mix puppy who is looking for a forever home. Lexi weighs 10 pounds but is expected to be less than 20 pounds when she is fully grown. Lexi’s owner surrendered her to the Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care (BARC) because Lexi has a birth defect: a cleft nose – which according to K9 Safe Haven (the rescue group who is fostering Lexi) presents no known health issues.
Lexi is living in a foster home and gets along well with the other dogs – both large and small. She loves belly rubs and attention but does not demand attention all of the time. Lexi is laid back when playing with other dogs and she does not chew anything she shouldn’t (e.g. furniture).
Lexi is a bit of a ham and loves to have her photo taken. She is extremely well behaved and has a happy personality.
Lexi was born on August 23rd, 2010. She would make a wonderful pet for someone who will love her despite her cleft nose.
