What was formerly known as Houston Dining – 2012 A Guide for Visitors (and Most Locals, Too) has new name, Houston Dining Index, a lot of newly updated information, and a new price, just $3.99.
Houston Dining Index will be especially helpful for those new to the area or who live in the suburban areas. This eBook is organized as series of over sixty lists with categories like: Italian eateries, Italian-American ones (there is a differences), steakhouses, bistros, beer bars, restaurants within a short walk of the MetroRail stops, local spots featured on the Food Network, and Tex-Mex options. The selections and associated profiles are straightforward and concise, objective, but opinionated, and reflective of a deep knowledge of the local dining scene.
At well in excess of 80,000 words, not sullied by annoying photos, maps or graphics, it would be over 300 pages if it was in printed in typical guidebook form. It is just $3.99 and can be used on almost any electronic device including your home computer. The current version is now available on the Amazon Kindle site and soon Barnes & Noble and elsewhere.
Houston’s much-loved and second-most cuddly columnist Ken Hoffman even recommended it (well, an earlier version, and it is even better now).
