Baseball and beer are natural companions and no time is better for beer than the Fall season when Oktoberfest celebrations manifest across the globe. Here in Houston, baseball and beer will receive the recognition they deserve at the Houston Astros Oktoberfest. Here are the facts:

Where: Minute Maid Park, KBR Plaza
When: Saturday, September 24, 4pm to 6pm for Oktoberfest, with the game starting at 6:05pm
Why: To celebrate Oktoberfest and enjoy an evening of baseball
The Houston Astros face the Colorado Rockies for this evening of brew and sports. Oktoberfest festivities will take place on KBR Plaza, located near Crawford Street, just outside the left field gate of Minute Maid Park. The fest runs between 4pm and 6pm and all fans with an Astros ticket will receive admission. Entertainment at the Oktoberfest includes:
- Live music, featuring Valina Polka
- Vendor Expo
- Beer Tastings
- German polka dancers
Astros tickets are discounted for this event and range from a low of $7 for View Deck II seats to $22 for Field Box seats. Special tickets are available that include an Astros Stein (available only to the first 500 fans who show up at the event with a paid passport) plus a passport good for twelve, two- ounce beer tastings at the Oktoberfest event. These tickets start at $27 each. Those who already have a game ticket can purchase a passport good for the twelve beer tastings for the price of $20.
