After back-to-back dismal seasons that Houston fans would rather bury in the past, don't forget that the Astros will be moving to the American League when the season begins in a mere two months.
Is that a good thing?
We'll all know soon enough.
With spring-training right around the corner, the Houston Astros are out to prove that they belong not only in the American League but in the Majors in general.
I love the Houston Astros.
I grew up loving them as a kid and idolized players such as Nolan Ryan and Jose Cruz.
This team has the potential to turn things around, but it's going to take time.
I'll wholeheartedly admit that I was devastated when this team parted ways with players such is Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt, and Hunter Pence.
But as the hit 80s television show "Wonder Years" theme used to state weekly, "life goes on."
Changes are a part of life, and 2013 welcomes many, many changes for the beloved Houston Astros.
New league, new uniforms, new teammates.
Could this be the type of change the Astros need to relaunch a successful season?
It will still most likely take a few growing pain in the AL also, but one thing is certain: I'm ready for April baseball.
Are you?
