The perfect weather to be out and feeling the power of God & nature with a friendly atmosphere, authentic Greek cuisine, live performances and weekend-long activities. Proceeds from Houston's Greek Festival benefit the parish and help support its growth within the community.

You and all Visitors can participate in exciting activities and see live performances all weekend long. Cheer on hungry competitive eaters in the World Gyro-Eating Championship, and you can watch talented St. Basil dancers perform Greek dances and if you are willing to learn, there will be some cooking traditional Greek lessons at their food cooking demonstrations.

Sunday afternoon on May 15th 2011, eaters from all over will face a plate full of delicious Niko Niko’s gyros and fierce competition. Willing & hungry competitors will eat gyro after gyro to beat previous gyro-eating records and claim the winning title. Be careful, arrive there hungry, so you have to stop eating now.

Niko Niko’s Greek and American Café is offering $4,000 in prize money.
First place will win $2,000, second place will win $1,000, third place will win $700 and fourth place will win $300.

The festival gives Houston and surrounding communities the opportunity to share the Greek Heritage.
