Housing needs a social worker

The New York City Housing Authority is seeking to hire a social worker for its' Re-entry Pilot Program, in the Family Services Department in the Family Services Support Unit. The selected candidate will serve as a Family Case Manager. The New York City Housing Authority is located at 250 Broadway, New York, NY 10007. The starting salary for this position is $43,068.00 to $61,233.00. There is only one position available and this listing will be posted until May 17, 2014.

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college. A LMSW (licensed master social worker) or a LCSW (licensed clinical social worker) must be obtained within one year of the date of appointment.

Some of the duties a Social Worker/Family Case Manager will have are; provide case management for families who accept the program, provide home visits, document outreach and intervention assistance and attend meetings. Desired skills are bilingual, excellent verbal and written skills and case management experience.
