Housewives attend Russell Armstrong service at Church of the Hills

A private service, the first of two, was held for Russell Armstrong yesterday at the Church of the Hills-Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. Taylor Armstrong was supported by her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast mates Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and Dr. Paul Nassif, sisters Kyle and Kim Richards, Dana Wilkey, along with The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Peggy Tanous. Linda Thompson and Brittny Gastineau also attended. Reports are that security turned away Cedric Martinez, who was told he 'wasn't on the list'.

The service was not filmed and there will be a second service for Russell Armstrong's family and childhood friends in Texas. Ronald Richards, who was Russell Armstrong's attorney, told People that his ashes will be split between Taylor and his family in Texas. "Taylor has indicated to Russell's nephew that Russell's family can take most of the remains back to Texas," he said. "They have a family cemetery there."

Armstrong was found dead of a suicide on Monday, August 15th at a Mullholland Drive home. An ET video shows the housewives arriving for the service.
