While still planning to attend a church established by a man who preached about helping the poor, House Republicans overwhelmingly voted to gut food stamps . This act would lead a few million poor men, women and children to starve while these Republicans go to church with a straight face. Fifteen House Republicans who want the votes of moderates and zero Democrats voted for this bill, which is slated to take place in 2014. In the unlikely scenario that this attempt to punish the impoverished squeezes by the Senate, it will probably be dead on arrival when it reaches the Oval Office.
The House Republicans also decided to vote to repeal Obamacare--again--even though that trip to SCOTUS killed any chance of them being able to actually accomplish the feat. This will make the 30th or 40th time they have tried to repeal Obamacare, and it will undoubtedly be dead on arrival at the Senate.
Meanwhile, real problems like the debt ceiling crisis, lack of jobs with livable wages and wars continue to elude this tribe of headbutters.
