A House stenographer lost it on the floor of the House Chambers last night, unleashing a tirade on legislators who stopped conversing and stared as the stenographer soap-boxed her views for all to hear. Her rant about God, Freemasons and the Constitution were all caught on video, reports CNN on Oct. 17.
What she said:
“He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked. (Don’t touch me.) He will not be mocked. The greatest deception here, is that this is not one nation under God. It never was. Had it been... it would not have been... No. it would not have been... the Constitution would not have been written by Freemasons... and go against God. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot serve two masters. Praise be to God, Lord Jesus Christ…”
Seconds into her rant, the House chair presiding member, Rep. Ileana Ros Lehtinen, R-Fla., begins to bang her gavel as if she’s hammering roofing shingles. The woman was escorted out by the Sergeant-at-Arms as she continued blasting those in the Chamber.
“The Sergeant in Arms didn’t try to stop her (at first) because she works there and that’s where she’s situated,” Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y. said. “And she actually went up behind the podium where the president speaks from. They thought she was going to hand something to the speaker, and then they realized (she wasn’t).”
The woman was identified as Dianne Reidy, an official reporter with the Office of the Clerk.
CNN says the woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
