'House' returning for season 8

It has been a long and busy week with networks announcing various interesting renewals and unfortunate cancelations. Finally, fans of the FOX medical drama House can rejoice! The show will be returning for its eighth season Monday nights on FOX.

Eonline is reporting in an article by Gina Serpe (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b241048_doctor_in_house_returns_eighth_season.html?utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=imdb_tv-movies) that not only will series star Hugh Laurie be returning, Omar Epps, Olivia Wilde and Robert Sean Leonard will all be returning to the show next season. The same article also states that the fate of Jesse Spencer, Lisa Edelstein and Peter Jacobson in uncertain. However, Serpe also makes clear that contracts with the supporting actors are still being negotiated. So fear not faithful Cuddy fans, the characters may still return.

While FOX's fall schedule is not set as of yet, House will be returning to television screens this fall. Meanwhile, the season DVD sets for the first six seasons are available at many Denver area retailers from Barnes and Noble, to Best Buy and Target.

Denver fans in need of a Hugh Laurie fix before House returns in the fall should check out his work in the UK throughout the 1990s. His supporting work in the historical Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) comedy series Blackadder is a million miles away from House and should not be missed. Fans in the Denver area can pick it up at almost any local Barnes and Noble. Laurie also co-starred in the Monty Python-esque comedy sketch series A Little Bit of Fry and Laurie with friend Stephen Fry (Bones, V for Vendetta). The series, which was initially rare on this side of the pond, can also be found at a number of Barnes and Noble locations in the Denver area. Looking for a good summer book? You might want to pick up The Gun Seller, a brilliant comedy thriller novel that Laurie wrote in 1998. The book, sales fueled by Hugh Laurie's House popularity, can be found at most book stores.
