After having spoken at length with a number of furloughed defense contractor personnel, they are glad that the furlough is lifted, but deeply insulted that it happened in the first place. As reported before, the Congressional action is nonsensical and is further evidence that House Republicans are behaving irresponsibly and are doing more to undermine national security than not.
Do they actually believe that government workers of all kind think highly of their actions?
This Congress is in trouble on all fronts, including those on Social Security, Medicare, and who are now realizing benefits from the Affordable Care Act. The assault on the poor and Middle Class must cease.
Many people that report stories and contribute ideas protest the situation on Facebook pages. One such person is a musician from Portland, Oregon, Chas Holman who has posted a series of protest messages from various sources. His are similar to other such Americans who are clinging to the Middle Class, holding on for dear life.

The Pentagon has called workers back to work as it makes no sense to leave them “furloughed with pay,” as the House Republicans would have it.
“Pentagon calls most civilians back to work
By Carlo Muñoz - 10/05/13 02:12 PM ETThe Pentagon has ordered roughly 400,000 furloughed civilian employees back to work.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered the worker recall in a department-wide memorandum issued Saturday.
After consulting with the Justice Department and Department of Defense legal counsel, Hagel noted furloughed employees could be brought back to the Pentagon, while still complying with federal guidelines governing the shutdown, according to the memo.http://thehill.com/blogs/defcon-hill/army/326789-pentagon-recalls-civilian-workforce#ixzz2gsfGvLF4
