'House of Lies' gets Fred Armisen for season 3 role

Fred Armisen may no longer be on "Saturday Night Live," but he is finding a way to appear across a wide variety of other programs in lieu of the sketch show.

At this point, you may be very much aware of Armisen thanks to his role at the center of the "Late Night with Seth Meyers" band. He has also made a few cameos back on "SNL" just across the hall, made a pair of cameo appearances for fellow former cast member Andy Samberg's show "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," and also his regular role on IFC's "Porlandia." That is a lot for one guy to have on his plate when it comes to music and comedy gigs.

So what is next for the actor? How about a confirmed role on Showtime's "House of Lies"? It was confirmed by the network in a press release that he would be playing on Sunday's episode the part of "Vincent, a volatile new client of Monica’s (Dawn Olivieri) with a product, WON (Wholesome Organic Nutrition), that’s prime for public offering and big bucks…unless her efforts are sabotaged by a still bitter Clyde (Ben Schwartz)." In case you are wondering, this episode will also feature a surprising change of pace for the partnership between Luka and Dre, whose DollaHyde business has been at the center of this entire season.

"House of Lies" has remained a solid contributor to the Showtime lineup, and while it does not get significant buzz for its ratings, they are still enough to make it the network's most-watched comedy. There has already been a renewal for a season 4, which will air early next year.
