‘House of Five Leaves’ standard edition delayed one week

Earlier today, anime and video game publisher NIS America announced that the release for their upcoming standard edition version of “House of Five Leaves” will be set back a few days from the originally scheduled Mar. 5, 2013 release date.

House of Five Leaves” is based on the manga written and illustrated by Natsume Ono. The anime is produced by the animation studio Manglobe (Ergo Proxy), with direction from Tomomi Mochizuki (The World God Only Knows) and character designs by Kazuto Nakazawa (Samurai Champloo).

The series follows a shy samurai named Masanosuke Akitsu, who struggles to find work as a body guard until he meets a playboy named Yaichi, who hires him on. There is more than meets the eye with Yaichi however, as Masanosuke soon learns that his new employer is the leader of a gang of kidnappers, leading Masanosuke to choose between the one job he has been able to keep and resisting becoming a criminal.

The standard edition of “House of Five Leaves” includes all 12 episodes on 2 DVDs, along with a story guide leaflet in a package that is more affordable, priced at $39.99, than its premium edition counterpart. It will be available on Mar. 12, 2013.
