New York, New York—Grammy award winning artist and house music legend, Roger Sanchez, brought in crowds of supporters who cheered his name at Cielo nightclub last Thursday, September 5. The veteran New York City pioneer of house affirmed his prowess in the dance music community by mixing legendary classics with refreshing new rhythms keeping the interest piqued for fans of both new and legendary house music.
Sanchez’s appearance at Cielo was a part of an international tour that will stretch into December, while visiting: Europe, Asia, Australia, South America and the United States. The world renowned artist has a notable following in the European club scene and has been one of Ibiza’s summer resident DJs since 2000.
Roger Sanchez is set to release “My Roots” from his own record label, Stealth Records, September 16th on Beatport.com. The EP will include his official version of the track as well as various remixes from: Technasia, Sonny Fodera, and Alexei and Carlos Kin, providing their own spin on the release with techno and tribal flair.
Roger Sanchez’s music career began in New York City in the 1990’s when he began performing around the New York City circuit along with Danny Morales and Danny Tenaglia. Sanchez is considered a pioneer in house music as being credited as one of the first DJs to make the genre wildly popular.
