HOUGHTON – Shocking news is bestowed upon Houghton High School with the arrest of Bradley Aldrich, the high school assistant hockey coach. Aldrich, of Hancock, was arraigned in Houghton County court for a multitude of criminal sexual conduct charges.
Between March 1 and March 31 of 2013, two felony acts were committed upon a student between the ages of 16-18, of which will result in a third degree CSC felony of 15 years in prison. The second act was committed upon a student between the ages of 16-18 is a forth degree CSC high court misdemeanor, resulting in a two year sentence.
On October 18, the indefinitely suspended assistant hockey coach is faced with a preliminary court hearing back in Houghton County. The thirty-year-old Bradley Aldrich is currently out of jail in a $10,000 recognizance bond.
The Houghton / Hancock perspective communities at large, stand torn in dealing with the news of Aldrich's heinous changes and the “Nice guy” persona once etched into the minds of so many in both communities.
