Out of the 32 teams in the NFL, twelve make the playoffs each year, and 20 do not make the playoffs. Six NFL teams do not have official cheerleaders. Of the six, only one team, the Green Bay Packers, did make the playoffs.
The Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, and my favorite NFL team, the New York Giants, are the other five teams without cheerleaders. None of those five teams made the playoffs in the 2012-13 season. These are the hottest NFL cheerleaders from the 2012 season from the teams that did not make the playoffs in 2013 who have cheerleaders.
Hottest NFL cheerleaders from teams that did not make the playoffs in 2012-13
- New York Jets Flight Crew
The New York Jets had a terrible season, going 6-10, and continually making headlines for all the wrong reasons this season. The bad year cost GM Mike Tannenbaum his job, and should have cost coach Rex Ryan his job too. Through it all, the team's cheerleaders, called the Jets Flight Crew, delighted the home crowds at MetLife Stadium this season.
- Miami Dolphins cheerleaders
Behind rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the Miami Dolphins went 7-9 and missed the playoffs.
- Buffalo Jills
The Buffalo Bills went 6-10, and fired their coach, Chan Gailey, after the season. The Bills cheerleaders are called the Buffalo Jills.
- San Diego Charger Girls
The San Diego Chargers went 7-9 this season, and promptly fired their coach, Norv Turner, and GM, A.J. Smith. The Chargers cheerleaders are called the Charger Girls.
- Oakland Raiderettes
The Oakland Raiders were just 4-12 this season. The name of the Raiders cheerleaders are the Oakland Raiderettes.
- Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders
The Kansas City Chiefs had a rough year, going just 2-14, and having to deal with the murder/suicide of linebacker Jovan Belcher.
- Tennessee Titans cheerleaders
The Tennessee Titans had another disappointing season in 2012, going just 6-10.
- Jacksonville Jaguars ROAR cheerleaders
The Jacksonville Jaguars should have upped the ante and outbid the Jets for Tim Tebow this season. They could not have done any worse than the 2-14 they were, and they would have sold a lot more tickets. The Jaguars cheerleaders are called the ROAR.
- Carolina Panthers cheerleaders
Remember when Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil took out a full page ad saying the Panthers would win the Super Bowl this season? The team went just 6-10, and did not come close to making the playoffs.
- New Orleans Saints cheerleaders called the Saintsations
The New Orleans Saints had a crazy season this year. Their coach, Sean Payton, was banned for the year, as were a few players, before getting that ruling reversed. Through it all, the Saints were competitive, but missed the playoffs and finished 7-9. After the season, Sean Payton got a new contract that will pay him $38 million.
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders
So much for Greg Schiano leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the promised land. The team finished 7-9, and missed the playoffs. On a bright note though, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders are about the hottest squad in the NFL.
The most famous squad of cheerleaders in the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, are home for the playoffs after the Cowboys lost to the Washington Redskins in the final game of the season with a playoff berth on the line.
- Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders
The Philadelphia Eagles went 4-12, and promptly fired longtime coach Andy Reid. Both the Chiefs and the Arizona Cardinals already want to hire Andy Reid as their new coach for 2013.
- St. Louis Rams cheerleaders
The St. Louis Rams went 7-8-1, and missed the playoffs this season.
- Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders
The Arizona Cardinals fired head coach Ken Whisenhunt, the only coach to get them to a Super Bowl, after the team went 5-11, and missed the playoffs this season.
