The Big East was probably the best college basketball conference of all-time, but beginning in 2014, the Big East will virtually cease to exist, at least as far as most fans remember it. Nevertheless, these are the hottest college basketball cheerleaders from the Big East as it exists in 2013.

- Rutgers cheerleaders
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights cheerleaders will likely be rooting for their team as a member of the Big Ten in 2014, as Rutgers has agreed to join the conference with Maryland. Rutgers has played basketball in the Big East since 1995.
Out of all the schools in the Big East, how did Rutgers end up in the best place with the Big Ten? It's called location, location, location.
- Pitt cheerleaders
The Pitt Panthers cheerleaders will be rooting for the team as a member of the ACC starting in 2014. Pitt has been playing basketball in the Big East since 1982.
- Syracuse cheerleaders
The Syracuse Orange cheerleaders will also be rooting for their team in the ACC starting next year. Syracuse was a founding member of the Big East conference, and has been playing basketball in the conference since 1979.
The Louisville Cardinals are the third team from the Big East that will be moving to the ACC in the near future. Louisville has been playing basketball in the Big East since 2005.
- UConn cheerleaders
UConn is staying in the Big East, at least for now. If the Huskies can get an invite to the ACC, they will leave the Big East as fast as they can. UConn was a founding member of the Big East, and has won three NCAA Tournaments as a Big East member.
- Providence cheerleaders
The Providence Friars are another founding member of the Big East. The team is leaving along with the other seven Catholic schools in the Big East as soon as they can work out the details.
- St. John's cheerleaders
St. John's cheerleaders are also leaving the Big East as one of the Catholic seven. The Syracuse vs St. John's rivalry was huge in the early days of the Big East, but not so much these days.
- Cincinnati cheerleaders
The Cincinnati Bearcats joined the Big East in 2005, and the school has always had some pretty hot cheerleaders. Cincinnati, like UConn, would leave the Big East as fast as possible if they could get an invitation to the ACC or the Big 12.
- South Florida cheerleaders
Like most of the colleges in Florida, the South Florida Bulls have some hot cheerleaders. South Florida is stuck in the Big East for now, but the huge school has a lot to offer any other conferences looking to expand into a tremendous recruiting state in Florida.
- Marquette cheerleaders
The Marquette Golden Eagles joined the Big East in 2005. The school, along with its cheerleaders, will be leaving as one of the Catholic seven.
- Notre Dame cheerleaders
Notre Dame has some pretty hot cheerleaders, but the school was nothing but a pain in the neck since it joined the Big East as a member in all sports but football in 1995. The Fighting Irish are moving to the ACC as a member in all sports but football. Good luck with that ACC.
- Seton Hall cheerleaders
The Seton Hall Pirates are one of the Catholic seven leaving the Big East. Seton Hall was a founding member of the conference, and I'm just old enough to remember Dan Callandrillo playing for Bill Raftery at Seton Hall.
- Villanova cheerleaders
The Villanova Wildcats joined the Big East in 1980, and will be moving on as one of the Catholic seven. Villanova won the NCAA Tournament once as a member of the Big East.
- Georgetown cheerleaders
The Georgetown Hoyas were a founding member of the Big East. Georgetown was reportedly the most reluctant of the Catholic seven schools to leave the Big East. It can certainly be said that the Hoyas benefited the most of any basketball team from playing in the conference.
