“International Hot and Spicy Day” is celebrated on January 16 each year. Today is the day to serve up the heat. Celebrate this day and holiday with some hot peppers and spice up your foods, sauces and bring the zest out that is sure to tingle all of your taste buds.

It has been said that hot spices have been heating up the flavor of meals in recipes for over 6,000 years. There has been evidence that archaeological evidence that suggests hot spices have been around for ages.
The hottest chili pepper in the world is the “Naga Jolokia” pepper. This pepper is rated over 170 times hotter than a jalapeno. That is pretty hot!
