Very surprise to see people still use Hotmail. I thought people abandoned Hotmail decades ago. It has always been a target for spam. Not sure if Outlook.com will be better since Outlook also has been an attractor for spam.
One of my first email accoounts was Hotmail then I moved over to other Frre email accounts. As each went by the wayside I used my computer for my email until it died.
Finally with reservations I have gone to Gmail. Now Google knows all about me. I am able to access my email anywhere. No it is not really private. If you are on the Internet, nothing is really private. Get over it. Finding a good email that handles spam well is important. Gmail does that.
Many Hotmail users have missing emails but they have been loyal. They get to keep the address but everything is moving to Outlook.com
Will you have more privacy with Outlook.com versus Gmail where Google scans your emails and your searches so they can serve up ADS to match your conversations and search inquiries. It will be interesting to see how it works out in the Microsoft versus Google War.
