Heat Vision learned Tuesday of an unexpected sequel on the horizon.
Thanks to the success of “Skyfall” and “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” MGM has cash to burn, and the studio is now in exploratory talks to bring us a sequel to “Hot Tub Time Machine.”
After grossing $50 million in theaters, and an unexpectedly large amount on dvd/blu-ray and cable runs, the film has become a surprise hit, and now Rob Corddry (“Warm Bodies”), Craig Robinson (“Dragon Wars”), and Clark Duke (“Sex Drive”) are in talks to reprise their roles in a sequel.
John Cusack (“The Raven”) was not listed as being in talks (probably because he seemed so bored in the first movie).
I actually got a few laughs out of the film, and I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel, but I will not be wasting my money on seeing it in the theater.
If they cut costs and release it straight to DVD I wouldn't be upset.
