Hot summer days, cool summer drink

Hot summer days call for a cool and refreshing summer drink.  While you are at market this week, pick up some fresh, juicy, sweet watermelon of your choice and mix up a quick blender of deliciousness.  It's as easy as 1) blender 2) watermelon 3) vodka of your choice.

To make things even easier there are varieties of watermelon available that are seedless so it takes even less time.  For each drink, use about 2 cups of chopped watermelon and 2 oz vodka, blend until smooth and pour over ice, garnish with mint.

These could easily be made into smoothies for the kids--just skip the vodka.

Be careful, they're addicting, so you might want to pick up an extra melon or two.

Ahh, summertime!
