Hot Salsa Saturday coming to South Bay

The South Bay will be getting a new salsa social soon, called Hot Salsa Saturday, organized by none other than Michelle Castro, the co-director of Pretty Boys & Girls Productions. Hot Salsa Saturday will be an all-ages social happening every other Saturday of the month, in a similar vein to the once popular 'Hot Salsa Friday' social.

Hot Salsa Friday will kick off on Saturday, February 2nd 2013. There will be salsa lessons with Michelle and Isidro Corona from 7pm-9pm, followed by dancing until 2am in the morning to the sounds of DJ ElDelaclave.

Since the once popular Dance Spectrum is now closed (as well as D'Venue), Hot Salsa Saturday will be held in the spacious Dance Boulevard studio in San Jose (near Camden). The studio has plenty of parking and two dance floors, and should provide ample space for the new event.

Hot Salsa Friday was once one of the most popular salsa parties in the Bay Area, and many dancers are looking forward to the start of the new event.

"Yay!! You're coming back! That's great news aannnd south bay's got a weekend salsa place again" said one local dancer. "I'm going to have to check this out." said another salsa regular.

The opening event should be big night, drawing salseros from around the Bay Area. You can find more details about the upcoming social at Salsa By The Bay.
