Lillstreet Art Center (4401 N Ravenswood) will have their opening from 6-8PM Friday, August 26th, 2011, showcasing Below the Surface, an exhibition of intricately designed vases.
This year marks the Fourth Annual Juried Exhibition at the Lillstreet Art Center, juried by Matthew Metz and will focus on vessels that have function and an aesthetic surface detail.
Metz had received awards for his pottery including NEA Crafts Fellowship, and two McKnight Fellowships. His works are sold nationally and internationally for the past twenty years. He is based out of a studio in Alfred Station, New York.
This exhibition lasts until September 18th, 2011.
