Hot dog and pie sale to benefit needy people - Newlyn Street United Methodist Church

Newlyn Street United Methodist Church , member of the Greensboro District of the Western Carolna Conference is hosting a hot dog and fried apple pie sale tomorrow, Saturday, March 13 at 212 East Newlyn Street, 27405. All proceeds go to benefit needy families in Greensboro through Blessed Table (a food pantry and clothing ministry) and Urban Ministry.

Examiner.com spoke with Newlyn Street UMC member, Donna Lee about the upcoming sale. "Some people order fifty pies at a time," she said. "The sale is in the basement of the church, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., although call-in orders start as early as 10 a.m."

The sale is held every second Saturday, September through May. You can reach Newlyn Street UMC by phone at 273-6073.
