Hot Cars!
Drag Racing Video shows what 711 HP looks like accelerating --
It's confession time. This author loves drag racing.
Barbie I am not. I love watching, adore listening to, and get such a ridiculous thrill from driving I commit at least 3 cardinal sins just thinking about playing in traffic with fast cars -- whether on the track or street racing.
When I spotted this video thanks to a friend from the Italianizzato Club, I had to share it.
While most exotic cars are not designed in theory to race off a line, it's still fun to see what they car do in a straightaway.
Watch this FORD GT line up and pull away.
The film maker actually shows a second run, as well after the first short burst of speed. Watch the hot car lurch forward when the driver hits a fast second gear.
I love that feeling.
Watch the video below and see why no matter how much I rationally understand that transportation needs to go green for the protection of the environment and to reduce oil dependency, my lust for speed still gets the best of me.

HOT CARS: AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH, BUT DRAG RACING THE EXOTIC CAR IS FUN
Drag racing burns an enormous amount of fuel really quickly. It wears out tires fast. It's not eco friendly.
I get all that.
But... sometimes, you can't help but relax into the moment, set aside worry, doubt, and your rational logic, and just say WTF.
Pulling away in a car that has such horsepower and torque, with the benefit of knowing that you can whip just about any muscle car once they hit their top end and you can nearly double their if you keep going ~~~ *good shivers*
I'm Kae Davis -- and I'm addicted to motorsports.
That's my circle confession of the week.
Now, off to find that free and addictive fully leaded caffeinated coffee.
And chocolate.
That's my secret addictions admitted x 3.
There are more, certainly -- but those are my top three vices I enjoy experiencing daily... and I balance things off karmically by following green exotic car news and doing good deeds while social networking daily.
I might recover from my motorsports addiction as a car girl someday, but doubtfully.
