A warm front has now pushed east of the area. Temperatures began climbing overnight and some locations are already approaching 80 degrees this morning. An isolated shower is possible across the northeast this morning, but in general, it will be a hot and humid day with partly sunny skies expected.
Temperatures will soar to mid-summer levels with highs reaching the low to mid 90s across the area this afternoon. High humidity will make it feel like it is over 100 degrees at times.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and muggy with lows around 70.
It will be hot and humid again on Wednesday. A cold front will move closer to the area Wednesday afternoon and this will help to support some scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon. Highs on Wednesday will be around 90 degrees.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday night and Thursday as the cold front makes its way slowly eastward across the state. Lows Wednesday night will be in the 60s with highs on Thursday reaching the mid 70s.
A deep and cool upper level trough will settle southward across the area on Friday bringing some chilly autumn-like temperatures to northeastern Ohio. With colder air aloft, there will be plenty of cloud cover across the area and even a few lake effect rain showers can be expected, especially across the eastern snow belts. Highs on Friday will only reach the mid 50s to low 60s.
High pressure will build across the area this weekend. Skies will be partly sunny and temperatures will remain cool with highs in the mid to upper 60s both days with lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
