High pressure will control the weather across our area today. The high will shift to our east tonight and Friday, allowing warmer and more humid air to overspread the region. Temperatures will rise well into the 80s this afternoon, and approach 90 degrees Friday afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms will become widespread Friday night and continue through mid day Saturday as a strong cold front moves across the region. Much cooler air will spread across the area Saturday with high temperatures struggling to get much above 70 degrees.
