WMC-TV News has announced a medical helicopter with the LeBonheur Children's Hospital Wing in Memphis crashed in Fayette County, Tennessee this morning killing all three people on board.
According to reports, the three people on board were professionals with the hospital, and the hospital wing. They were en-route from Le Bonheur Children's Hospital to pick up a child in Bolivar, Tennessee when the crash occurred. CEO, Mary Armour said in a news conference, "We just can never expect it to be this kind of risk when you come to work in the morning."
The helicopter crash occurred near Doll Way and Hwy 64 in Somerville, Tennessee, and reports are that the craft burst into flames after the crash. The names of the victims have not been released.
