Dogs went crazy, and the residents of the Larkspur subdivision had some excitement this lunchtime when three horses raced through the neighborhood with no sign of any owner.
Appearing from the O'Connor Road entrance to Larkspur, the horses wore no harnesses or reins, and proceeded to gallop their way down roads and cul-de-sacs, leaving a wake of barking dogs, scared and excited homeowners, and deposits that no street nearby is likely to have seen before!
The commotion was short-lived, however, when local police enforcement arrived, blocking off one cul-de-sac in which all three animals had gathered in, shortly followed by the horses' anxious owner, complete with empty horsebox in tow.
Within 20 minutes, all three animals had been safely tethered to the trailer, and it is currently only speculation as to how they managed to escape their confinement; possibly a minor accident en-route to or from the San Antonio Rodeo, or the door of the trailer somehow came open, allowing the horses to get free.
