A local horse trainer who admits leaving horses to die on a Bethel farm is now a free man, after serving just two months of his six months sentence.
29 year old Chad Moore pleaded guilty to six counts of abandoning animals. Ten dead horses were found on December 28, 2009, on a Tate Township farm where Moore worked.
Six malnourished horses, a donkey and a miniature horse were rescued. Two of the animals later died.
Moore was sentenced in March to six months in jail and ordered not to have contact with any animals ever again.
Moore participated in a work program in jail and earned credits for early release.
