Horse power Promotions in Woodward Ok. on 02/09/13 great stuff

Almost all of the twelve bouts were exciting and competitive, with two participants being carted off to the hospital in an ambulance. Here's how the fights went down.

Bout#1 - Woodward's Jarrett Walden (149#) gave a good account of himself but lost a three round split decision to Vici Oklahoma's Jared Francis (159#)

Bout#2 - Woodward's Skyler Hanna (172#) bit the dust in 1:50 of round one when the heavy punching of Alva Oklahoma's Tyler French (166#) put him on his back and had him tapping out.

Bout#3 - This one was "short-and-sweet" when El Reno Oklahoma's Jake Burton (152#) K.O.ed Woodward's Lynard Madera (142#) in 15 seconds of round one. Burton was on the canvas for several minutes before recovering.

Bout#4 - This was a good, hard fought three round split decistion . Two judges called the fight 29/28 for Marshall Oklahoma's Joby Sellers (160#) with the third judge going for Dallas Texas' Donnie Bedore (158#) 29/28. That's how close the fight was.

Bout#5 - Tulsa Oklahoma's Gerit Smith (149#) had Woodwards's Frankie Chandler (145#) tapping out in 34 seconds of round one with a vicious "rear-necked-choke".

Bout#6 - This was another close one with Fairfax Oklahoma's Josh Hutchison (173#) Squeeking out a split, three round decision over Clinton Oklahoma's John Barron (171#). This would make a greast rematch.

Bout #7 - This was another vicious first round stoppage. In just 16 seconds of round one Woodward's Jimmy Treece (190#) threw a wicked right hand and dropped Norman Oklahoma's Jeff Chilvers (180#) flat on his back. It appeared that Chilvers was knocked out before he hit the canvas. Treece however, dropped on top of him and delivered a couple more hard head shots before the referee could stop it. After several minutes on the canvas, the doctors decided Chilvers need to go to the hospital.

Bout#8 - We barely had time for the ambulance to return to the Fair Barn when another vicious first round knockout took place. Sixteen seconds into the round Vinita Oklahoma's Bryle Martin (135#) picked Woodwards's Michael Hoskins (128#) up high, in the air, and dropped him on the canvas, on his head. Hoskins also had to be taken to the hispital. The word was these two "had-words" back in the dressing room before they came out. All I can say about that is "you don't want make Martin mad".

Bout#9 - This bout was for the "State 205# Amateur Title" and ended up going the distance with Pryor Oklahoma's David Neito (203#) winnng a hard fought three round decision over Woodward's Ethan Nance (206#). Let's have a rematch.

Bout#10 - This was a "smokin- good" fight while it lasted. It ended in 3:25 of round one with Laverne Oklahoma's Sterling Lenz (142#) submitting Cleveland Oklahoma's Cameron Cady (137#) with a beautiful 'rear-necked-choke".

Bout#11 - This was a "girl-fight" with Fayettevilles Arkansas' Ruth Perkins (133#) winning in 1:22 of round one over Woodward's Cheyenne Colvin (127#) with a wicked "arm-bar".

Bout#12 - This was for the 'State 155# professional title. It ended in 2:45 of round one with Midwest City Oklahoma's Kyle Sjafiroudden (155#) choking out Vinita Oklahoma's Chris Barnes (155#).
