Horse meat found and confirmed in frozen food (Video)

Horse meat used in frozen foods? 180,000 Lasagna meals produced by the frozen food company; Findus has been removed from the shelves of many retailers. The popular frozen food company admits that 100 percent of the meat used in their frozen lasagna contains horse meat.

Samples are currently being tested for the detection of bute, a drug given to horses as a painkiller. The drug has side effects that may cause serious blood disorders. The European Food Standards Agency advises anyone who has purchased the Findus products to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The popular store Aldi's has removed some of its frozen ready meal lines--these products were removed because they may also contain horse meat. Read more information
