Hardy Midwestern equestrians are galloping to the Illinois Horse Fair, as well as a host of horse shows, ranch sorting and roping events, hunter-jumper competitions, tack sales, and much more for the second weekend of March.
Rein in these horse happenings, running from Friday, March 7, through Sunday, March 9.
The 25th Annual Illinois Horse Fair is on from March 7 to 9 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, located in Springfield, Illinois.
In Gurnee, Illinois, Fields and Fences Equestrian Center closes its early season NIHJA Horse Show series for the Northern Illinois Hunter Jumper Association with an event running from March 7 to 9.
Coyote Creek Tack and Stables, of Sigel, Illinois, holds a Ranch Sorting Practice on March 7.
On March 8 and 9, Chism Trail Ranch offers another installment in its Ranch Sorting Series in Merrill, Wisconsin.
Sugar Grove Equestrian presents its Grand Opening, including a Mariano Bedoya Clinic for hunter/jumpers on March 8 and 9 in Sugar Grove, Illinois.
In Isanti, Minnesota, the Minnesota Ranch Horse Association (MnRHA) has a Cow Horse Clinic with Ryan Gallentine at Hi Circle Vee Ranch on March 8 and 9.
Also on March 8 and 9, the Orchard Rangers Saddle Club hosts its 38th Annual Tack Swap at Robert Boeckman Middle School, in Farmington, Minnesota.
On March 8, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the Fond du Lac County 4-H Horse and Pony Project Tack Swap comes to the FDL County Fairgrounds, including the Giddy-Up Again Consignment Shoppe.
The Minnesota Mounted Shooters Association complete their 2014 MMSA Winter Series with a March 8 event at the M and D Arena, in Anoka, Minnesota.
Chase Valley Ranch adds a March 8 competition to its Ropings Saddle and Awards Series in DeKalb, Illinois.
The Southern Kettle Moraine Horse Trail Association (SKMHTA) offers a free Clinic with Jeannie Wright, titled “Natural Hoof Care and Going Barefoot,” on March 8 at Palmyra Bowl, in Palmyra, Wisconsin.
An Unwanted Horse Summit takes place on March 8 at the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
In Poplar Grove, Illinois, Bravehearts and Manchester Manor run a Fun and Interactive Show on March 9 at the Bergmann Centre.
Also on March 9, The 1st Annual Dane County Humane Society Tack Sale occurs at the Village of Dane Town Hall, in Dane, Wisconsin.
Circle E Equestrian Stables wraps up the 2014 pre-season with a March 9 Fuzzy Horse Winter Show Series event in Seymour, Wisconsin.
In Wausau, Wisconsin, the Marathon County 4-H Horsemasters 31st Annual Tack Swap goes off at the John Muir Middle School gym on March 9.
Showtime Arena rounds out its 2013-2014 Winter Open Fun Shows on March 9 in Deerfield, Wisconsin.
The Johnstown Community Center of Janesville, Wisconsin, opens March 9 for the Whitewater Area Mounted Search Team and Rescue (WAMSTAR) 1st Annual Tack Sale and Fundraiser.
