It’s that time of year again, when ghosts and vampires roam the streets with a ravenous hunger for candy and frights. Families decorate their homes in a futile attempt to scare away would-be pranksters, grocery stores stock displays full of ghoulish treats, and movie theaters await patrons who are eager to see the next big horror movie.
Now it would seem that Halloween has a new, perhaps even grander stage on which to lay its broomstick. Carrie: The Musical will soon be making a wonderfully terrifying appearance at the Erie Playhouse on October 11th through the 27th for those souls brave enough to attend!
Since Steven King first published the novel, Carrie, in 1974 it has become a horror classic spawning its first motion picture in 1976 with a revival due in theaters in 2014. Now Carrie: The Musical, brings a time honored, seat gripping, fright fest to life, right in front of your very eyes. Carrie is a schoolgirl who is bullied by everyone around her, including her own mother. When Carrie discovers she has special powers that enable her to fight back however, she does in a big time way.
