“The Scarefest” is in its sixth year with a new “Portal” feature, an area dedicated to gaming and gaming culture. It began in 2008 with the promoters combining their talents to create a convention aimed at both horror and paranormal as they both tend to cross into one another at times. Patti Starr, owner of Lexington’s Ghost Hunter store and Mystical Paranormal fair has been prominent in keeping the convention afloat, successfully launching the exciting event.
The event also boasted the return of Kane Hodder and Danielle Harris from the "Hatchett" film series.
