See Saturn
Star-gazers and morning glory’s will enjoy a rare celestial treat on Monday if you’re up before dawn. Take your coffee, wrap up in a warm sweater (or coat, gloves and hat if you’re in the northern regions), and face south-easterly to get a glimpse of Saturn cozying up to the Moon.
Earthsky tells us:
If you’re up and about before dawn on Monday, January 7, 2013, you can see the moon and the planet Saturn shining in front of the constellation Libra the Scales. It’ll be more of a challenge to spot Libra’s fairly faint alpha star, Zubenelgenubi. Unlike Saturn, this star doesn’t shine at first-magnitude brightness, but it’s bright enough to see with the unaided eye in a moderately dark sky.
Remember, if your birthday falls between the 18th and 24th of the month, consult an ephemeris or qualified astrologer to get an accurate Sun sign designation.
Aries (Mar. 21 – Apr. 21): Instead of charging ahead with new ideas, write them down and get to them after completing the projects already in front of you.
Taurus (Apr. 22 – May 21): Undig your heels, loosen your grip and lighten up. Life is long.

Leo (Jul. 22 – Aug. 21): Byron Katie tells us: stop looking for appreciation, admiration and love. Be the master of your big heart, not a slave to the ego's demands.
Virgo (Aug. 22 – Sept. 21): Stand in front of a full-length mirror, look at yourself, and smile. If you're looking to change, Louise Hay encourages us to do this and say, "I am willing to change."
Libra (Sept. 22 – Oct. 21): Diplomacy is all-well and good; authenticity is realer. Be yourself. We like you real.
Scorpio (Oct. 22 – Nov. 21): Build a bridge and get over it. Forgive and be free. Create something meaningful instead of seeking revenge.
Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Taking risks is admirable; sometimes the courageous thing to do is nothing, and it's often very hard to do nothing.
Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 21): It’s Capricorn season! Shining may not be your strong suit, but, it’s not frivolous to express happiness.
Aquarius (Jan. 22 – Feb. 21): Keep your intolerant opinions, if you must, but make sure your actions are compassionate and kind.
Pisces (Feb. 22 – Mar. 20): You can hide, but we’ll miss you. Go undercover instead.
The week ahead in the Zodiac
- The Sun is making its way through ambitious Capricorn.
On Thursday, we will have an impressive Cap stellium: the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Pluto will all be in Capricorn!
A stellium is a multiple conjunction of planets. It's a close cluster of three or more planets in one sign and/or house. The planets are clumped together (within 0 to 5 degrees).
Natally, a stellium indicates a soul who wants to experience the affairs of a particular house from several different perspectives, which each of the planets in the conjunction represent.
- The emotional Moon is in Scorpio until around midnight on Monday, when it moves into Sagittarius until Wednesday around the same time when it will go into Capricorn until Saturday.
The first New Moon of 2013 will be on Friday.
- Communicative Mercury is in practical Capricorn.
- Venus and her values shifts out of Sagittarius on Wednesday and drives on into Capricorn in time for the stellium the next day.
- Action-oriented Mars is in helpful Aquarius.
- Expansive Jupiter is still in friendly Gemini.
- Serious Saturn is in efficient Capricorn.
- The outer three remain the same: Uranus in Aries; Neptune in Pisces; Pluto in Capricorn.
