The difference between TCU playing at home and on the road is like day and night.
The Horned Frogs did what they couldn't do at SMU last Wednesday, pulling out a clos game against Colorado State for their sixth straight win at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
After missing the game against the Mustangs, Craig Williams returned to score 20 points for the Frogs off the bench. The Frogs were able to withstand 26 points from Wes Eikmeier.
TCU had to rally from down 10 points with three minutes to go in the first half. Trailing 38-33 at halftime, they led 41-39 two mintes into the second half.
The Buffaloes, however, would not goaway quietly, as TCU never led by more than six points. Pierce Hornung gave Colorado State the lead back, 64-62, with a driving layup and one free throw.
The game was tied three more times after that, including 69-69 with 2:19 to go. But the Buffaloes kept sending the Frogs to the foul line after that, and Williams, Kyan Anderson and Hank Thorns combined for a perfact six for six on free throws.
The win evened TCU's record to 4-4 i nthe Mountain West with the Horned Frogs hosting UNLV on Tuesday.
