The 2013 Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament starts tonight with first round action as three games tip-off. All games will be featured on live streaming on the Horizon League Network website.
The first game has the #7 seed Loyola Ramblers at the #6 seed Youngstown St. Penguins at 7:05 PM. The Penguins took the season series 2-0, but both games were decided by two points or less. The winner of this game will take on Wright St. University on Friday, March 8th at Valparaiso (who secured the #1 seed).
The second game features #8 Cleveland St. Vikings traveling to #5 seed University of Illinois-Chicago Flames at 8 PM. The Vikings have dominated the Flames winning twelve games in a row and both games this season. The winner of this game will take on the winner of the game three.
Game three pits the #9 University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers at the #4 University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix. The Phoenix took both games this year.
The University of Detroit Titans will be watching the Loyola at YSU game as the winner plays Wright St. on Friday. The winner of that game will then play the Titans on Saturday, March 9th at Valparaiso.
The championship game will be played on Tuesday, March 12th at the highest remaining seed.
