Horizon League Tournament continues tonight, Titans watching for next opponent

The second round of the 2013 Horizon League Men's Basketball Tournament starts Friday with two games. All games in the second round (Friday) and the 3rd round (Saturday) will be played at Valparaiso University.

The first game is a showdown between the #5 seed University of Illinois-Chicago Flames and the #4 seed University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix. UIC downed #8 seed Cleveland St. in the first round while the Phoenix upended cross state rival and #9 seed University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. UIC and Green Bay split their season series, each winning their home game. The winner will take on Valparaiso on Saturday night.

The second game features #6 seed Youngstown St. Penguins taking on #3 seed Wright St. Raiders. The Penguins beat the Loyola in the first round while Wright St. enjoyed a first round bye. These two teams also split their season series, both winning at home. The winner will take on #2 seed University of Detroit Titans on Saturday.

The Titans were 3-1 overall vs. the Penguins and the Raiders this year, but anything can happen in the Horizon League Tournament with an automatic NCAA bid on the line.

The winner of each of Saturday's game will play for the Horizon League Championship which will be Tuesday, March 12th and will take place on the home court of the highest remaining seed.
