Hopefully Griffin fans will still support team even as the Red Wings return

All Michigan hockey fans have to be happy that the NHL is back and the Detroit Red Wings are hopefully ready for go for another Stanley Cup.
But for the Grand Rapids Griffins and the Detroit Red Wings, it was sure fun while it lasted.
For three months, the Griffins were the main game in town but now will have to share the spotlight with Detroit.
But maybe the Griffins can still make a bid for that elusive AHL title. But they fell 1-0 to the Charlotte Checkers, the Western Conference leader, 1-0 at Tim Warner Cable Arena, on Wednesday.
The Griffins are still having a great season at 21-12-2-2.
So, start getting ready to root for the Red Wings.
But keep an eye on the Griffins too.
