Hopeful Eidolon is a common white creature card from "Theros" with bestow that's much more powerful than its rarity, casting cost, power, and toughness suggests. Hopeful Eidolon's power lays in it's ability to give another one of your creatures lifelink. This often neglected ability can swiftly change the course of a game in limited, where Hopeful Eidolon is an MVP

So many limited games come down to small numbers, and Hopeful Eidolon will give you an edge. Combined with combat tricks Hopeful Eidolon can help turn the tide in your favor. Even after it's fallen off of the creature you've attached it to, Hopeful Eidolon can chump block however a better use is for it to be enchanted with another aura or equipped so that you'll gain extra mileage (and valuable life points) out of lifelink.

Hopeful Eidolon's usefulness isn't just limited to draft and sealed. Featured in the event deck "Inspiring Heroics," Hopeful Eidolon can help transform Ascended Lawmage into a scary and hard to deal with threat. Hopeful Eidolon pairs well with heroic creatures such as Battlewise Hoplite and Fabled Hero, which are also included in the event deck. One card worth considering to add is Phalax Leader, which when enchanted by Hopeful Eidolon will put a +1/+1 counter on all of your creatures.
