Hope Solo, 32, the goalkeeper for the United States women’s soccer team and is also Jerrany Stevens' wife, has been arrested, according to the Chicago Tribune on Saturday. Solo was arrested in the early morning hours on Saturday for allegedly hitting her sister and teenage nephew. The incident occurred during a dispute at Solo’s home in a suburb of Seattle, Washington.

Reportedly, police arrived at Solo’s home in the town of Kirkland after a 911 call was received. The call came in just after midnight. When police arrived at the house, noise regarding the incident was heard from the street. Police assert that Solo appeared to be intoxicated and upset when they entered on the scene. The police also report that Solo’s adult sister and 17-year-old nephew were present and obviously injured. A party was being hosted by Solo when the incident took place.

After the injurious incident, Solo was taken to a local jail. She was held without bail. The charges filed against the soccer star are two charges of domestic assault in the fourth degree. This is the information that has been recorded in the facility’s inmate registry. In the registry, Solo is documented by the name Hope Amelia Stevens which is her name by marriage. It is not known as to whether Solo has obtained a lawyer. She is scheduled to appear in the Kirkland Municipal Court on June 23.

Solo has also played on two teams that have won Olympic gold medals for women’s soccer. She is also known for having appeared as a contestant on ABC television network’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Solo is married to Jerramy Stevens who is a former National Football League player for the Seattle Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The husband was arrested just before the couple’s wedding in Nov. 2012 when it was believed that Stevens assaulted Solo. He was released and charges were never filed due to insufficient evidence, according to ESPN. The couple was married the day after that incident.
