Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission was founded in 2010 with the goal to meet the needs of the “whole” person: spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The organization reaches out to the people of the San Fernando Valley by tangibly demonstrating God’s love to the hungry, homeless and hurting, and by offering hope, hot meals, housing, health services, and healing.
There are nearly 7,000 homeless each night in the San Fernando Valley, and thousands more who go to bed hungry. Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission holds two key events to raise funds for its ministry: All In For Hope: The S. Weiss Poker Classic, and New York in the Valley, a Silent Auction Event.
All In For Hope will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Braemar Country Club, 4001 Reseda Boulevard, Tarzana, California 91356. Donations are $120.00 for Poker Players, $30.00 for Non-Poker Players. This gives individuals the opportunity to watch, rather than play Poker, along with enjoying great food, live music and amazing atmosphere by the pool. The first hand starts at 7:00 p.m., and dress is casual.
All proceeds will go to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, and tickets are still available. You can purchase seats online by clicking Get Tickets. If you wish to donate to the Event and not attend, click this Donate link.
On Saturday, March 20, 2013, the CBS Radford Studios will host Hope of the Valley's 4th Annual Dinner Auction: New York in the Valley at 6:00 p.m., on New York Street at the CBS Radford Studios Lot, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604. The evening will include a catered dinner, entertainment, silent and live auction, and testimonials. The Mission expects about 300 attendees from the wider community.
If you purchase tickets before April 1, the price of admission is $100.00 per person, $1,000 per table. After April 1, it is $125.00 per person, and $1,200 per table.
Hope of the Valley is also looking for Sponsor Partners to donate products, gift certificates or services that will be auctioned at the Event. To donate goods or services for the Event, contact Maria Barajas at (323) 605-3861 for details, or visit the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission website and submit a sponsorship form.
