Here's a way for Northeast Ohio area wine lovers to celebrate fine wine and Mom. Just take her aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's "Grape Escape" train on Friday, May 9 for a wine tasting excursion.
Grape Escape Train Excursion Departing the Rockside Station in Independence, Ohio at 7 p.m. on May 9, the 2-hour "Grape Escape" excursion through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park will give passengers the opportunity to sample 5 different wines. Wine experts on board will teach passengers about various wine characteristcs such as aroma, body, bouquet and finish.
Chef-prepared appetizers (from Moe's restaurant in Cuyahoga Falls) designed to complement each wine will also be served. Each guest will receive a complimentary tasting glass.
The theme for the May 9 "Grape Escape" train excursion will be "Mother's Day Celebration - A Taste of Wonderful Whites."
Coach seats (2 seats facing 2 seats) are available for $57 per person. Deluxe seating is $77 per person with seats at tables. Premium seats (in the First Class section or in the Elevated Dome Section) are $77 and $90 per person. Executive tickets are also $90 per person.
