Hoosier Pro Wrestling has been an Indiana institution for the last 15 years and on November 2, 2013 the company will celebrate their anniversary as the Best Wrestling since Bruiser with a loaded show that includes one of the best workers in professional wrestling in Tracy Smothers as well as one of the best workers on the independent scene in Flash Flanagan.
This night of wrestling will also be the annual Columbus Fireman’s Cheer Fundraiser show and fans are asked to bring a new or gently used toy to donate for those children less fortunate. For years HPW and promoter Jerry Wilson has helped the community by running shows to benefit many local charities and this is one of his favorite.
“Every kid deserves to have something to unwrap on Christmas day and our great fans, our dedicated fans always come through and donate a lot of toys to the Cheer Fund so those kids can have a good Christmas,” Wilson said.
Hoosier Pro Wrestling has been very active in the community and over the years has raised thousands of dollars in donations as well and hundreds of pounds of food for local food banks and thousands of dollars in toys for the Cheer Fund.
“I love giving back to the community, Columbus (IN) has always been good to me and to HPW and I am very appreciative of everything they do for me and HPW so giving back is just the right thing to do,” Wilson said.
Tracy Smothers, best known for his time in the WWE, WCW, Memphis and as part of the F.B.I. in ECW will be on hand to bring chaos but also a wrestling clinic when he is in the ring. Smothers has long been considered one of the best in the business and can still “bring it” when he steps into the ring.
Jessie Belle Smothers, who was part of an exciting match earlier in October against former WWE Diva Jillian Hall, will return to HPW and will be facing the current NWA World Ladies Champion Kacee Carlisle. With Tracy in the corner of Jessie Belle it is sure to be an interesting match and there are rumors that Kacee will have a surprise or two of her own to even the odds.
Flash Flanagan, one of the best and most coveted indie stars will return to HPW after a short respite due to his intense and violent feud with “Zombie” Rob Ramer over the summer. The two stars battled for months in some of the most hard fought and violent matches HPW has ever witnessed.
“HPW is like a second home to me,” Flanagan said. “I still have some scores to settle so I am glad to be coming back but there are a couple of people who need to be watching their backs.”
Flanagan was trained in Ohio Valley Wrestling and has been feuding with former trainer and partner Trailer Park Trash with their matches taking a toll on both men. Flanagan has held every title in OVW including the heavyweight title, tag team titles and just recently held the television title for over a month before losing to the returning Elijah Burke. Flanagan is still a major player in Ohio Valley Wrestling and even though Trailer Park Trash has retired from the business Flanagan still believes he has unfinished business with him.
“Trash is just that, Trash and I am not done taking out the Trash yet. It is not over until I say it is over so Trash, retired or not I am still going to kick your ass,” Flanagan said.
Hoosier Pro Wrestling will present their 15 Year Anniversary show on November 2, 2013 at the 4H Building on the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds in Columbus, IN. Fans are asked to bring a new or gently used unwrapped toy to the show to help the Columbus Fireman’s Cheer Fund and help less fortunate children in the area have a Christmas.
